Exterior

Ford Ranger Driving Performance
The 2023 Ford Ranger engine options has two variants with different engine capacities. There is a 2.0-liter twin-turbo four-cylinder Eco Blue “Panther” engine and a 2.2-liter Eco Blue TDCi, in-line four-cylinder, VGT engine. Both engines have 16 valves and are based on a combined direct injection combustion system.
The 2023 Ford Ranger engine is also mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. For a 2.0-liter engine, the Ford Ranger at 3750 rpm can develop 213 hp or 211.5 hp. The torque itself reaches 500 Nm at 1750–2000 rpm.
On the other hand, the2.2-liter engine in the Ford Ranger has less power and torque than the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, despite the larger displacement. On paper, this engine can produce 160 or 158.5 horsepower at 3700 rpm and 385 Nm of torque between 1500 and 2500 rpm.
Ford Ranger Driving Comfort
The Ford Ranger is available in Extended Cab (Super Cap) or Crew Cab (Super Crew) models. The Super Crew seat model has a wider configuration, so it can accommodate 5 passengers. Super Cab is a four-seater.
For driver convenience, the Ford Ranger steering wheel is equipped with multi-function buttons that are easy to use without losing focus while driving. The rear can also be closed with an automatic electric shutter.
Then, speaking of performance, it turns out that the Ford Ranger has a special reason for using its 10-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to these numerous gear ratios, the Ford Ranger's diesel engine is able to produce more powerful and responsive performance, even at low engine speeds.
Ford Ranger Gas Mileage
Engines that use diesel engines are one of the reasons the Ford Ranger wastes fuel. For urban use, the Ford Ranger can drive only 8.5 km on 1 liter of petrol. On the other hand, when used outside the city, the Ford Ranger can travel 10.2 km with just 1 liter of petrol. So far, this car does not provide 2023 Ford Ranger hybrid until 2025.
The 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor for the European market gets permanent all-wheel drive with an on-demand, electronically controlled two-speed transfer case. There are front and rear rock variations with seven drive modes to choose from: Normal, Sport, Slippery, Rock Crawl, Sand, Mud/Roots, and Baja.
Also included is Trail Control off-road cruise control, which operates at speeds up to 20 mph (32 km/h). This off-road ride features 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires and sports a rear exhaust with adjustable panels for quick sound tuning.
Standard equipment includes LED headlights, functional air inlets, and aluminum side steps. The interior features sport seats that Ford says were designed with fighter jet inspiration in mind, and orange accents add to the interior's aesthetic.
The Raptor is equipped with exclusive magnesium paddle shifters and also houses a 10-speaker B&O audio system. The driver, meanwhile, has his 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster with a 12-inch vertical touch screen that comes with SYNC 4 and wireless support for Android Auto and Apple Car Play.
Ford will begin offering its new Eco Boost-equipped Ranger Raptor to customers in Europe at the end of the summer, with the next diesel due next year. No word yet on the availability for the 2023 Ford Ranger release date in the U.S. market, but recent reports indicate that production of standard trucks at Michigan plant will begin in May 2023.
